Asset Recruitment have two exciting career opportunities for
experienced Senior Safety Advisors to join our client, a Tier One main
contractor in the Dublin region.
Our client is engaged in diverse range of construction project
environments including Pharmaceutical, Datacentres, Healthcare, Food &
Beverage, Infrastructure, Commercial, Industrial, Residential and
Civil for both private and public clients.
Reporting directly to the company Health & Safety Manager, the
successful applicants will take responsibility for a team of safety
officers at varying levels on a number of projects within a given the
Leinster region coordinating a consistent company approach to H&S
activities on these projects.
These are challenging roles that will be supported in full by all of
the Senior Management. Both positions are permanent with salary and
benefits appropriate to the market and in accordance with the
importance of the role.
Responsibilities:-
Chairing regular Health & Safety meetings on site and with Senior
Management.
Maintaining the company Safety Statement
Conducting Risk Assessments and overseeing the implementation of
controls
Ensuring staff and personnel are kept up to date with training and
approved courses.
Coordinating Health & Safety activities with Company H&S Manager and
other Managers.
Approving working methods and precautions.
Approving documentation provided by all sub-contractors
Carrying out site inspections, approving company documentation.
Organising and delivering Training to meet statutory requirements
including Induction training of new employees
Ensuring staff and personnel are kept up to date with training and
approved courses.
Approving working methods and precautions.
Requirements
Degree qualification or third level equivalent qualification in Health
& Safety
8+ years**Apply on the website**; experience in a Health & Safety
role on large scale construction/civils projects
Direct, Hand on Safety Management experience on large scale, high
headcount construction sites including coordinating with
sub-contractors essential.
Issuing and developing performance reports and policies to
Construction Director
Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet
challenging work goals
Strong time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Fluent English
Eligible to work in Ireland.
Minimum of 8 years post graduate experience
Direct large scale construction projects experience
Able to communicate well at all levels
Passionate regarding Health and Safety
Disciplined with a keen eye for detail
